Overall, I think Bush did some good things and was mistaken on others.
One large contribution that he made is preventing a President Gore or a President Kerry.

.....and a Vice President Edwards.

Glenn, I'm ready for Walter Russell Mead to list specifically every single thing in his overview that "went wrong" while GWB was President. His is a good overview and saying that Bush and his group were misguided. I think for every paragraph he writes, I would like to know his specifics that went wrong, AND what HE would have done if the circumstances were exactly the same as they were when President Bush found them.

It's one thing to cast stones at a specific Elephant, but specifically what were the 10 worst faults that GWB did all by himself during his 8 years in office. And given that part of the time, he had LOTS of Democrats to work with, what did Bush do wrong, and how would WRM have done something better instead.....
