Indeed.

I sometimes defend them, so I am intimately familiar with what they do.

While there are a few bad apples, most are very good.

I recall one case in which my clients were fully justified in killing a miscreant. They had been called to a domestic disturbance. The guy was wearing a loose shirt he had not tucked in. As they approached, he said he had a .357 magnum in his belt and was going to use it. He opened up his shirt, showing the gun. He went for it and had it in his hands but was tackled rather than shot.

He of course claimed police brutality and sued.

That was an easy case to win.
