If you want to speak of "freedom fighters" as terrorists you should keep in mind that they are different in their motivations from Islamic terrorists who are using terrorism to wage jihad on the "infidels". I'm not sure which ones are the freedom fighters, but it is self-evident that the core of our effort has been directed at those engaged in jihad. While Bush did not accept terrorism in any form, the wars were targeted at those based on Islam.

I get that you haven't studied this subject much, given your believe in the 9/11 conspiracy theories. But you might invest a little time in reading Sayyid Qutb's "Milestones", the document that essentially started the jihad against Americans.
