While both wars were necessary, the Afg. war has dragged on longer than necessary and I cannot see that it is now important to have a substantial presence. But they should be forwarned that if we have to come back to deal with terrorist issues it will be a return with a vengeance. We could be just as effective with a minimal force there to support drone strikes as needed and minimal ground forces. I honestly don't know how the identify the enemy there anymore. I think it could have been ended some time ago. I know kids who are over there and my son has considered deploying to Afg, which he could do if he chose to. I'm not sure Obama knows how to go about it.
