Ultimately, perhaps. As mentioned in my previous post, developing software to deal with the bureaucracy has been a good living for me. But it will be years before adequate low-end software solutions evolve. Years. Government's track record on this is horrendous.

Just as an example, even today some Medicare intermediaries STILL require claims submission through dialup modems. You almost can't even buy one these days. Check out the registration process for e-filing of W2/W3 forms. It is insane by today's standards. The enrollment process for a Medicare provider takes 60-90 days, yet, fraud is rampant (most commercial insurance companies require NO enrollment at all, and they manage to control fraud with no difficulty). I could go on. Government is the gang that couldn't couldn't shoot straight, and they've essentially given up trying.
