Dmf,
Sorry but I don't have any experience with voice recognition software.
I don't type too well so I'll be interested in hearing more about it.
I'd also be interested to hear about the performance of the Pentium II with videophones if anyone has any experience.

Dmf,
I don't think Compaq has ever really advertised that they use a "Cyrix" chip in the Presario 2200. It's advertised has using "MediaGX Technology". As far as MicroWharehouse lumping it in with "Pentium", I guess you'll have to take that up with them. "Pentium" is such a generic term that it's really a benchmark.
