4profit,

you were not the object of my "hope and a prayer" remark. it is just makes me sad to see how desperate some are for really striking it rich with 100% in a day, 2 days, 3 days, etc.

as i used to tell first-time visitors to the racetrack, when i used to spend most of my free time there, you better hope you don't get very lucky today - otherwise you will think it easy to make money. also of course they will go bankrupt trying to repeat the experience.

on a risk adjusted basis, even the most talented analyst cannot systematically make excess returns. it is important to know this, otherwise one is headed for some very dark places.
