That was the Righthaven cases. The wise Federal Judge Kane from Colorado stopped that business model and awards were given to many defendants. It's too bad they had several cases settle for miniscule amounts before someone had the balls and backing to fight them. Unfortunately the Scumbag responsible for it, Steve Gibson, is still allowed to practice law in Nevada. Also unfortunately this is the latest on Righthaven. i certainly hope the appeals court sticks it a little farther up their ass arstechnica.com
