Had to do a Grange committee thing yesterday, and one of the other people is a retired nurse- practitioner of British origin, who fell in love with America during the war cuz "all those guys who saved my country were my heroes." But, I digress. The conversation went from medicinal plants to an AMA convention in SF to Haight Ashbury Free Clinic , to " I worked with your father at Sequoia." I'm not sure I met her at the time, but I knew her roommate, she knew both my boss and my RT instructor, we both hated the director of nursing (no biggie; everybody did), etc. That was pretty cool.
