The very idea that you would create a new tax under the guise of "fairness" is just absurd.

I don't care if the most liberal politician in Arkansas runs against this turkey next time, I'm voting for him. If you're going to get a big government liberal either way, there is no reason to choose a guy who has already pissed you off on multiple occasions (this isn't the first time this creep has supported some backward cause).
