I am still out on Obama so far. Bush-1 wasn't that good, and Bush-2 wasn't a whole lot better, though not near as bad (or stupid...I really am sorry, but you can't be stupid and graduate from both Yale and Harvard with the grades he made and be stupid, as well as being the only president to ever have an MBA. Ans anyone in college...especially those two...know that they do NOT just pass people on for being someone!) as a lot of people TRY to portray him as. Clinton looks better and better as time goes by because he DID do a whole lot of good while in office (even though he had a LOT of wars going on at the time, and presided over our defeat and pull out after the disgrace in Somalia, which led to what we have there today as a hot-bed of pirates and lawlessness.). His domestic policies were right for the time, and he caused tremendous growth in the US economy. Reagan I rate as one of, if not THE best, once again due to his policies both foreign and domestic. His policies set the groundwork for Clinton to work with. (and he pulled us out of the economic mess Carter put us in.) Nixon wasn't as bad as people try to make him either, Watergate aside (he only did what everyone else was doing, just got caught at it is all), and he DID get us out of Vietnam which was one of his campaign promises. Johnson took over from Kennedy, where the Vietnam involvement actually started. I really AM center, neither Dem or Rep (and definitely not Lib) and don't know where I am supposed to post, since there isn't one that actually SAYS "Center"...it seems that if you are, you are automatically lumped in with Left?. I vote for which ever I think will do the best job overall for the country. Pro-life....and yet pro-choice (I believe abortion is murder, but I don't believe it is my place to force my morality on anyone else), pro-gun, but I don't own one and won't with a child in our house, nor do I think the 2nd amendment should be challenged, let alone removed since it really does have a purpose...etc. Pro-religion as in Freedom Of Religion, but feel that my religion is my business, and it's not my place to tell others how they should believe or that they should . Not one of the Freedom From Religion types. I don't think that the Democratic Party is the greatest thing since "sliced bread" since it seems to me there is way too much general hate over there, mostly directed at those who don't conform to what they "feel" to be the way everyone ought to be, and I think is leaning more and more to outright Socialism, which has never worked and cannot work as a form of government for human beings. (If you ask me why, I can explain it to you.) I also think the Republican Party leaves MUCH to be desired, since they seem to be caught up in racism (again) with the immigration reform thing...let's face it. Immigration reform as far as Republicans are concerned means getting more non-white people in the USA legally. And everything I run up against in regards to that conversation always ends up with Republics talking about those "Mexicans", not illegal aliens. That in itself proves it is racism pure and simple. Nothing about illegals from Latvia, India or China. Always "Mexican". That is just wrong on so many levels. So, all of this being said, I think this is the only place I can post until a real View From Center place is created.
