early 70's???? I was still in elementary school ....... When I first heard about them I tried like hell to get an account in canada but every broker told me know. Then once I had a referral from an existing client, the rest became history.

The common term then was :Evil Naked Canadian Shortsellers, who were actually my inspiration for getting into the game. I had invested in 10 stocks that I THOUGHT i researched well. it was during the BRE-X days.

When I rann into SI and every single thread on all my stocks that lost 90 % in 6 months was blaming shortsellers, i knew I wanted to be one. i wasn't sure back then if they just had the truth aand knew the game, or if they just had the power to take any stock they wanted down and make it stay down. It really didn't matter to me then which one it was, i just knew I wanted to be one and obviously discovered it was the former, not the later. I had 10 out of 10 losers that I bought all about the same time, before any of them crashed. The shortsellers had 10 out of 10 winners. that was all I needed to know
