Deutsch Morgan upgraded ETEC following the company's presnetation to it's "technology conference" to buy from accumulate. No more details given.

All: Carl Johnson's more positive view for the growth of semiconductors as opposed to Kurlak's gloom and doom prediction: "Handelsman told us on Thurday that his 1998 outlook was 'strong to very strong' for both the semiconductor and the semiconductor equipment industry. . . . Korea is Korea and semiconductors is semiconductors. The semiconductor industry will continue to move forward and the Koreans will again invest some time in the future."
