ATHM's drop is expected, if you look at its pattern, At Home always rallies after news and then drop to where it belongs before. However, after the Asian concern eased (note that problems are still there, but only the concern has eased, I think prematurely) I think ATHM will not go back to its low, I believe it will gradually move up.

You are right, the shorts have increase considerably: in November, there were 2 million short interests with a ratio of shorts to average daily volume (S/A) reaching 3. On the brighter issue, Amazon, whose S/A is almost 5, is still able to stick at around 53. I think shorting AtHome and AMZN at the current stage will be too risky unless concerns about global problems start again.
