Regarding Steven Sage, after he had his personal meltdown, the thread was deleted. Sage was also kicked off SI. There is nothing wrong with using multiple screen names in my view, unless you are a lunatic. Generally speaking I would say that the $75 fee cuts down on the number of such lunatics.

Prior to this happening he went through several melodramatic episodes of being deeply hurt by those not believing him, saying 'goodbye forever' etc. etc. and having people come rushing to his defence. I am surprised no one remembers, it was quite a party!

The funny part was how he made up all these stories about being really down in the dumps after losing all this money on his trades. Then he'd come back and say "I've made the necessary arrangements, and my portfolio now has an additional $100,000 to play with". He'd then try to win everything back making big bets on his losers. One of them was right and suddenly he was up a whole lot, and everybody was getting on the thread saying "Great call Steve" etc. etc.

Eventually people cottoned on to the fact that he kept increasing his stake every time he was down another huge chunk. They also checked the trading and noticed that he claimed trades that couldn't possibly have happened. Someone kept demanding to see a fax of the trade confirmations and there were big arguments about whether that would prove anything and whether than would be giving away too much confidential personal info.

Then someone got ahold of him by phone and "was convinced".

Later he told everyone that he enjoyed playing their emotions like a violin. It was funny how personal and 'warm' people were to this fake guy until he exposed the trick and laughed at them.
