I think the volumes we have seen lately are partly driven by the institutions. We will likely see some volotility and retrencement if it moves up to the point that it moves past the institutions price targets.

I read today in the Puget Sound Business Journal that 35% of stock trading is now done on programmed limit orders. So once a stock like Quantum starts a slide down, regardless of whether it was started in sympathy with other stocks in its group, a lot of the momentum is likely perpetuated by the programed trades. Nice logic to that.
