Ho and Giap just needed some time to re organize, signed the peace treaty, because they had no choice, and counted on the stupid Norte Americanos and on the other domestic political camp (the Dems) to keep their eyes closed and military 'peace keeping' forces out while they were getting ready for yet another run on Saigon. That fairy tale that the US lost the Vietnam war is but a leftist myth. The US just didn't pay attention to make sure that the North didn't violate the peace terms. /Taro
