I had saved this post of years in order to do some research in what you said and then respond. In the meantime, I had an opportunity to talk to some folks who have insurance through their employment, some who don't have insurance, some who are small business owners and some young folks who graduated recently and do not have insurance because they feel they are healthy and do not need it.

It looks like Obamacare will affect everybody. Those who have health insurance will be negatively impacted. Those who don't have it will be positively impacted. As for Govt. programs such as Medicaid, it will be a positive for them. My understanding is that the Govt will "kind of" buy the insurance for them and hence will not have to foot the entire cost of their hospital and other medical expenses.

So yes with Obamacare, there is pain as well as gain, pain for the haves gain for the have nots.
