No one should be running away from the consequences of saving our kids from misery.

I think it should be obvious, even to you, that "austerity" by its nature involves making sacrifices now so that future generations don't have to. Put another way, Keynesianism dumps our economic trouble on future generations.

Would you please explain how you find it to be morally acceptable to do this to future generations?

Why do you think we don't, as a society, hold children responsible for unpaid debts of their parents? And why do you think that is acceptable when government does the borrowing on behalf of the parent?
