Look, read back through this thread. I already posted you links to actual proof about the benefits from the actual website where you must go to apply for them. Just saying "its true because I said so" does not MAKE it true. NO ONE can circumvent the system and get public assistance without providing the required documentation. The interviews with the counselors are in person. You are very naive to believe people telling you otherwise, as well as having no personal experience in the matter. Another "its true because I said so" with no proof to back anything up. I have provided proof on my side, official proof that is irrefutable. Your intolerant attitude towards MEXICANS ONLY are typical of the Right, and are the reason the GOP will NEVER get their vote...and they make up and estimated 16% of all eligible voters in the US. This is a huge number of votes, as they are more likely to vote than the average white citizen. By your own admission (and its also the standard Right view) ALL illegals should be labeled as "Mexicans". As per your own words right here, You won't get anywhere by accusing us of being racists. Mexicans are the largest group of illegals by your own words. Why shouldn't the largest group get the most attention? Your attempt at political correctness is tiring. You are stating that since Mexicans are the largest group they should be blamed for everything, and ALL illegals should simply be called "Mexican". This demonstrates my point exactly. As for the Statue of Liberty, that plaque was placed there back when there was no system as there is today...all who were physically fit and medically sound were welcome...no one was turned back or told they weren't wanted. No where on it does it mention "immigrants" or "LEGAL". No where does it refer to what you elude to. This is just your personal interpretation as to what you want it to stand for. It was erected in 1875, a gift from France. During the colonial era and even after the United States had gained its independence, America favored immigration until the 1870s when things started to change. America was a home to immigrants and welcomed them with open arms. Many of the Founding Fathers were amongst these immigrants who wanted to pursue happiness and liberty. There were no restrictions on immigration and there was no such thing as an "illegal immigrant" at the time when the statue was built. As for illegal immigrants from India, they constitute 6% of the total. If there are over 11 million, I would say that there are more than "225". As for the "illegal drugs", I guess here once again you are saying that ALL MEXICANS are involved in the illegal drug traffic? And ask yourself WHY illegal drugs are coming here? Could it be because there is a market for them, that AMERICANS are PAYING FOR THEM? And on top of that, the CIA has been helping them get the drugs across! Next I think you should say "Blacks are lazy, Italians are greasy and stink, and Pollacks are stupid...just to round out your Right good rhetoric. You just make my point more and more as you continue. And at the same time, to make the Right point on racist views towards Mexicans more clear, you clearly state you have no problem with illegals from India taking high-paying jobs...because in your mind they are "creating jobs". Can't figure out how the logic works there. And if the right term for "illegal immigrant" is "invader", I guess the US has first dibs on that...after all they did it to Mexico first in the 1840's...just before the US stole 55% of Mexico's land. You say that me saying "Rest assured, none of the ones from Mexico come here to get "free stuff" and they couldn't even if they wanted it" is a "blatant false assertion." What proof do you have? What personal experience do you have? I can say with confidence "exactly none". Personally, I DO have experience with this. My wife came here illegally, as did many of her family. I travel to Mexico frequently and know the culture as well as the peoples there. You, obviously, do not. I am the one approaching this in an honest way, while you are merely mouthing things of which you have no experience nor knowledge of, only what you have been told. I have been there, touched, seen, smelled what I am talking about. As I said, i know the culture and the people, having lived with it. You say it is a "socialist" country? That is rich! And you base it on some Right-Wing "Freedom Scale", as if it is the Holy Grail of metering governments? And don't even talk about any other country's educational system and compare it to the US. Anyone who hasn't had their head buried in the sand knows the schools here are WAY behind other countries...yes, including Mexico. Students there are required to take Calculus by their third year in High School...a vast majoriy of US high schools don't even offer it! The rest of the world accepts that university as being higher ranked than most US Ivy League schools...and that is a fact! Look up the stats as they are posted in any other country than the US. the rest of your post takes care of itself. You again say you "don't know anyone who singles out one ethnicity for retribution", and yet you just stated that it is justified because they happen to be the largest group. All of this is typical of most Right-Wingers...spout racism while accusing the other side of "race bating". And for your information, I am not Left, nor am I Democrat.
