Do you think the description of how bitcoins are 'mined' was accurate? That was the part that was understandable to me that I was confused about before so is that part on the right track?

They can't. The guy's operating from his FUD generator. Shut down the internet,maybe?

How does say, FED, shut down Canada's CB virtual currency?

Non joke countries don't have to care about bitcoin-like currencies. Folk have to pay taxes in the local currency.
