Yes, some of the data in the Wiki piece was old.

Thanks for the links. I notice that one of those you posted in reply is from September 2007.

Although percentage increases in immigration, both legal and illegal, from Asia are high, a large percentage increase of a very small number is still a small relative number in comparison.

Whereas the tenor of your original piece seemed to be that conservative concerns about illegal immigration and pending legislation is primarily based on racism, that remains IMO a very dubious conclusion. And the fact remains that the vast majority of illegals in the U.S. already, and continuing to come, are Hispanic. And most heavily continue to live in southwest tier of states.

This shows a remarked decrease in the numbers residing in the US. And the data you cited is from 2000 to 2009.

Why should we tolerate even one? What is the acceptable level of illegal aliens? What is the acceptable level of bank robbers? kidnappers? murders? or any class of criminal?
