When human being's populations grew in numbers there evolved social behaviors expanded upon the original basic family, clan ,tribal structure. Growing more free time & security (and the written word/symbols) with domestication of plants & animals many sets of new moral law structures are born & concieved to encompass land rights, husbandry & pastoral rights, trading & more complex commerical , civil & societal interactions. Human language & word variation also developes at an enormous pace of new complexity. Its also during those earliest times when the 1rst ancient Church of "Holier Than Thou" is born , of which i think the modern counterparts you were referring ? (no senses of humor, notice?)
