In large part, yes. As a matter of fact, there is still bias against "Indios" in Mexico today.


so, if the Mexicans stole the land from "indios" and we stole the land from the Mexicans, but then we gave land back to the "indios", haven't we balanced the karma a little bit?

I don't see the Mexicans setting aside land for the "indios". Have the Mexicans made any reparations to the american indians that they killed and/or displaced?

Is it wrong to steal land that was gained through theft in the first place?

It's kind of a slippery slope, isn't it?

I think we can skip right over the wrongs done against the Mexicans and address those done to the american indians...oh, except that they displaced the clovis people...so perhaps we should ignore what was done to the american indians because they stole the land from the clovis people.
