When fierce ideological purity is a huge catalyst for mobilizing the base, inclusion becomes just about impossible. I think the odds are growing that the Reps will splint into two parties in the next decade.

Isolation is always the logical end of intolerant philosophies. They already alienated a majority of the women and youth vote, and most of the minority vote. Won't be enough angry old white guys left to get them anywhere, except on SI.
