I hire whoever is best for the job, regardless of any other factor.
That IS discrimination bub.

I have hired women into industrial maintenance mechanic jobs, for example, because they were best qualified.
More discrimination! Shame on you!

Case in point...do you think it was discrimination when the City of Detroit mandated that 75% of all casino jobs be delegated to African Americans? That 75% of all contractors and vendors be African-American owned?
Of course it's racism!! You don't have to be real bright to see that blatant type of racism.

This is a case where they specified people by race that were to be hired, in effect following the same tactic you spoke of, because "Employers need to be allowed to discriminate or they won't hire."
Employers would always do what's in their best interest unless government mandates otherwise. Doing what's in their best interest would have nothing to do with race. Those that employed by race would soon be uncompetitive and be out of business.

I thought that was racist then, and I still think it was racist.
Good. You can recognise the blatantly obvious. You're batting about 10%.

Is it racist for an hispanic to act in favor of hispanics?
