Actually you dismiss them out of hand, and then patronize them with the "I'm just trying to save you from losing your shirt on your bad investment" storyline. Thus the "I'm right, and you're stupid" attitude.

You don't need to repeat how right you are - you've said it in so many different ways. If you're right, people will notice. Repeating it ad nauseam lowers the value of the discussion (not to mention your tendency to state opinion as fact). This is the gloating part. There are many bulls on this thread who have done quite well buying and selling coms, but you'll rarely hear it from the ones who have something valuable to contribute.

The worse part about all the personal mudslinging, gloating, etc is that many competent contributors now choose to no longer read or participate, because the forum is so antagonistic and sophomoric (heated discussions are not the issue). A good friend of mine was a COMS analyst for a major firm and no longer reads or contributes the coms group, because it has reached the lowest common demoninator. Say what you will about analysts, they actually speak with execs at the firms they follow. The flames about analyst "ratings" stated here and in other groups are often dead on, but if you know any analysts, you'll also know that they are equally frustrated with the constraints put on them with regards to these ratings (by their own firms). Most of them actually have very valuable insight into the inner workings and market potential of the companies they follow. It would be cool to get them to post.

>> What's the harm in that? If everything I'm saying is
>> so ridiculous just prove me wrong...

I'm not interested in proving you wrong. I'm just interested in competent analysis, factual information on COMS, and a good debate. IMHO, this includes commentary from shorts. Who wants a support group? At the end of the day, I'd like to make sure I've wisely invested my $ on a long term investment.

You need to be thick skinned to be a serious invester/trader in the market these days........Same goes for someone that does not share your point of view
regarding trading strategies..... There's no harm in what you state...Too bad you're not on our side though, I like someone who doesn't beat around the bush.
