I've seen the same for six figure accounts and up. I'm messing with them now. Emailed them that I had friends paying half what I was. Next I will threaten to move everything. Their response:

MUTUAL FUNDS:

$17.99 - Sell or exchange load funds
No Fee - Buy load funds

OPTIONS:(1)
Internet - $8 + $0.75 per contract
IVR System - $10.99 + $0.75 per contract
Broker-Assisted - $24.99 + $0.75 per contract for market (Stop and limit orders $5 extra)
Option exercises and assignments will incur a $19.99 commission.

BONDS:
1-50 bonds - $5 per bond
50+ bonds - $2.50 per bond

I get $7 commissions for stocks/ETFs, $7 + 0.75/contract for options. I didn't even have to ask, just moved some assets to IB for active trading and they freaked out like I was going to close my accounts, called to ask what they could do to keep me. I suspect they matched ScottTrade's commissions, which were $7 then, I think.

Aggregate TD Amtd balances high 6 digits, long time client, since the Datek days.
