Any idea what the Juniper technology is? There are several current technologies that that are faster than ATM in the LAN. Doesn't Cisco's top of the line router already have an aggregate throughput of 60 gigs?

I don't think there is a current market for 2.4 Gbps in the LAN, and in the WAN they would need to use high speed leased lines (ATM/Sonet) and compete against DWDM. The only exception would be if they built their own WAN.

Am I way off base here? What does everybody else think?
