To be honest, I think I have Obama figured out to some degree. He is a bit of a liberal, but he does not like to step in big trouble. He is very careful. One can make fun of the Republican's as long as you do not start a war with them.

John Stewart said last night Obama has the congressional authority to move those folks in Gitmo. The congress gave it to him on a person by person basis. A reporter said he has not moved one person yet.

We cannot keep innocent people in jail and outside our judicial system (and torture them) because they MIGHT be dangerous some day. People don't seem to understand how important habeas corpus is. That was one of the biggies of modern democracies i.e. all thoughout history people would be swept awy at night never to be heard from again.

That is why our founding fathers made such a big deal of it. We cannot make excuses for a reason to go back to that. 86 of those people in Gitmo have been cleared for removal and yet there they stay. The whole point of due process Is due process.

A plan is not due process.
