Flextronics article in Investors Business Daily this morning.

Good news/bad news:

Good news is the article has a very positive intent

Bad news is poor reporting/misinformation

1) Interviewed a salesguy as opposed to CEO Michael Marks so the overall focus/spin in the article does not get the bull story message across well.
2) Article makes it seem like 3-Com/US Robotics is Flextronics most significant customer. I think that is why stock is selling off today. The market currently hates 3-Com and anything affiliated with it. Reality, as you and I both know is that the only product Flextronics makes for 3-Com is the Pilot handheld organizer, which is still growing like a weed. After Ericcson at about 25% of sales is Advanced Fiber Communications at 10% of sales. AFCI is still growing at about 100% y-y and sports a hefty P/E of about 60x. If only Flextronics could get AFCI's multiple.

Article generally indicative of the way things are in the CEM sector. It should have been an upside catalyst, but instead reporter does a poor job, speaks to the wrong guy, and prints misleading data. Maybe worth a call to IBD to get them to clear up data/speak with CEO instead of sales guy as a proper reporter should.

My opinion.
