Well everyone, is it time to celebrate?

I think it is still too early to call for a party but we should express a sigh of relief with today's price action. We may see some choppy action but likely on an upward bias over the next several days. A statement from Quantum as we get closer to the end of the quarter and an announcment of a buy-back program would solidly cemment the bottom and lay the foundation for furhter advances, IMO.

A stock buy-back makes perfect sense for Quantum and may also serve dual purpose in creating excellent public relations for the community at large and for PC, networking and the computer markets in particular. There is hardly a better and clearer way to express that "we are not WDC or SEG, we anticipated the technological and market shifts, prepared for them and now are here to serve your total HDD and other storage needs". Mr./Ms. OEM, we want your business!
