Even without KXL - as covered previously on DeSmogBlog - tar sands crude can be moved to targeted markets via freight rail (coupled with pipeline capacity increases of other tubes and potential barging along Lake Superior). Beneficiaries of tar sands transport via rail include AAR dues-paying member Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), owned by major Obama donor Warren Buffett via his holding company, Berkshire Hathaway. Shell Oil - a major Alberta tar sands extractor - also pays AAR member dues, which indicates Big Oil understands the strategic importance of rail transport. Dunn's firm, in short, stands to gain from tar sands extraction with or without a KXL northern half, a classic case of double-dipping. Kind of idiotic given that some substantial portion of people are not cut out to be educated, either lacking the will or the intellect to benefit from an education. The world still needs bureaucrats, ditch diggers and trash collectors -- and there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone can solve 9th grade math (not algebra, mind you, but basic arithmetic) questions. I don't think it would be sensible to try to push someone like that through a math, science, or engineering curriculum.

Nothing is free Koan. Let me repeat that again. Nothing is free. There is a cost. College professors are some of the most overpaid people in America. Directors upon Directors watching out for Directors of Vice Directors to Vice chancellors and on and on. The bureaucracy of public colleges is huge and getting bigger by the day. So the cost is spiralling out of control, most of it now being paid by taxpayers. Even colleges like Harvard, which have billions invested, suck off joe-six pack trying to raise a family to maintain their aristocratic socialist lifestyle. It's a scam, and has been for quite some time.
