we've covered that koan

you know Lincoln's views on African Americans.

"he shared the conviction of most Americans of his time, and of many prominent statesmen before and after him, that blacks could not be assimilated into white society. He rejected the notion of social equality of the races, and held to the view that blacks should be resettled abroad. As President, he supported projects to remove blacks from the United States."

the only reason he "freed" slaves during the war was to destroy the Southern economy. It had nothing to do with any compassion he might have had for their situation.

Lincoln actually represented slave owners. But don't let the facts knock you over!

"In 1837, at the age of 28, the self-educated Lincoln was admitted to practice law in Illinois. In at least one case, which received considerable attention at the time, he represented a slave-owner. Robert Matson, Lincoln's client, each year brought a crew of slaves from his plantation in Kentucky to a farm he owned in Illinois for seasonal work. State law permitted this, provided that the slaves did not remain in Illinois continuously for a year. In 1847, Matson brought to the farm his favorite mulatto slave, Jane Bryant (wife of his free, black overseer there), and her four children. A dispute developed between Jane Bryant and Matson's white housekeeper, who threatened to have Jane and her children returned to slavery in the South. With the help of local abolitionists, the Bryants fled. They were apprehended, and, in an affidavit sworn out before a justice of the peace, Matson claimed them as his property. Lacking the required certificates of freedom, Bryant and the children were confined to local county jail as the case was argued in court. Lincoln lost the case, and Bryant and her children were declared free. They were later resettled in Liberia.1"

Does De'Marquis Elkins typify the argument defining the gun control debate?

De'Marquis Elkins is a prime example of the fact that no matter what gun control laws are put onto the books, the bad guys and sociopaths will always find a way to get their weapons!

And while the message here may be presented in a somewhat politically incorrect way, the bottom-line is crystal clear.

Gun laws will not prevent the bad guys and sociopaths from getting weapons!

These laws will only do a diservice to the honest people who want to protect themselves while at the same time serving a campaign need for certain politicians pandering to their pro-gun control constituents back home.

The story of De'Marquis Elkins

In late March 2013, 17 year old De’Marquis Elkins shot and killed
an 13 month old baby who was sitting in a stroller.

Elkins shot the infant in the face after the mother refused to give him money.

He also shot the mother in the leg and the neck in Brunswick, GA.

De’Marquis Elkins is not a member of the NRA.

He did not use an assault rifle.

He did not get his stolen pistol from a gun show.

His favorite music is rap.

He did not attend Christian school, nor was he home schooled.

He did attend multicultural public education,
and was not instructed in the Ten Commandments.

His Momma was on welfare, got food stamps, and lived in public housing.

His daddy was not around, and his two brothers have a different daddy.

He already has a record for violent crimes.

He is gang member.

His mom, grandma, and Aunty all voted for Obama.

He never earned his hunter safety card, nor did he shoot CMP,
Junior NRA, or 4H Air Rifle Competitions.

He was never instructed in gun safety from his father or grandfather.

His public education and family taught him that the white man owes him something.

He went to collect it.

He has no plans on getting married, but does have a Baby Momma, and no,
he is not supporting her baby.

He smokes dope.

He does respect Kayne West.

While he has no job, nor is looking for one, he is well fed.

He has no skills outside of crime.

He speaks Ebonics, and is not capable of doing a professional
interview, even though he spent 11 years in public education.

He is one of millions.

This is what we are up against. Make no mistake that people like Elkins will have their guns.

There are people wanting to deny you the right to arm yourself.

Your tax dollars are paying for the continuation of a system that breeds pieces of s--t like this one.
