Evolution of feathers. http://bit.ly/15iE7Bo . 200 million years compressed into 3 minutes and we have found dozens of of fossils now of small dinosaurs with feathers by @CarlZimmer. Birds are feathered dinosaurs.

Do you know why eagles fly? They take themselves lightly ...

You can't understand the Khmer Rouge relevance when you claim all conflict if over material things? All you have to do is supply the "material" reason they killed a third of their nation.

What part of extreme nationalism (tribal racial indentity, racism, xenophobia ) that relates directly to territorial domain do you not get as being material related?

All communist revolutions & regimes, whether under the Kymer Rouge or Mao or Stalin were the rejection of capitalist economic systems & the domination of western industrial nations. They exploited ideological socialist marxist concepts with heavy emphasis of nationalist xenophobic themes & total expungement of any elitism in a revolution where any intellectualism or free market was condemned with extreme brutality.

Of course this was a conflict over material things with a hatred of the "Free Market" but you don't see any materialism implied here? Get a brain.

Also we see the same bloody equivilent revolutions against the monarchies of Europe's feudal elite & priviliged nobility, against the Church as our own revolution. All bloody, btw. Also the civil war here, that is another expression of the new world industrial based economy & the once self reliant older agrarian based one of the south. Back to the slavery issue, which is about as materialistic as it gets.

Any way one looks at it, there is only a huge upheaval & evolution human social ,economic orders going on here, some bloodier than others & mostly all determinately materially & economic based in nature. To think otherwise, that its not territorial/nationalist & over control of resources /access to material , is throwing paint on pigs & living in a pretend world.

Also the civil war here, that is another expression of the new world rapidly growing industrial based economy & the once self reliant older agrarian based one of the south. Then we go back to the slavery issue, which is about as materialistic as it gets., even as blind as you might be can see that ?

Dream on , but try to get real.
