<<<<< However, as I said before, the quota law was not enacted until 1924 >>>>>

What is it that some people can never admit to being wrong. The reason my grandmother ran into trouble at Ellis Island is because of the quota laws - that was in 1922. But it could have just as easily been 1921? Why? Because the first quota laws were passed in 1921 as was clearly stated in your copied page. You are so damn stubborn you can't even believe your own source? Unbelievable. What part of the following is hard for you to understand?

<<<<<numerical limits on immigration from Europe and the use of a quota system for establishing those limits>>>>

Quota system? Do you have trouble understanding that those two words put together? Was that done in 24? Noooooooooo, it was done in 1921. NOTHING that you have posted has said that the first quota law was passed in 1924 - except your weird statement that it is so. You're wrong dallaskevin and the more you try to say otherwise - the more ridiculous you seem to me. Oh ya what was the 1921 law called? The Emergency Quota Act (ch-8 42 of May19th, 1921.)
