What it shows, more than anything else, is the bias that we bring to the table when reading the news, not any reality about the subjects of the satire. First, I would not have believed any the examples you provided except the one with Palin. She's dumb as rocks. She's dumber than Simplicity and one_less combined. So dumb she was fired...........uh...I mean.......she was asked to leave Fox News. Secondly, a number of Americans aka Republicans did make that mistake thinking that the Boston bombers were from the Czech Republic. So much so, the Czech Republic was forced to issue a special statement thru its American embassy saying otherwise: newsfeed.time.com
