That was a surprisingly candid comment for Carville to have made. I'm not sure of his motivation, however, I think it is pretty early in his political life to be making judgments like that. He HAS had a couple of miscues, but they were relatively minor. When you contrast him with, say, Al Franken, it does seem that Cruz has made a lot more progress (at least an order of magnitude more) in his short tenure than Franken has since he was elected.
