>>Secondly, your comments imply (at least by my inference) that fear is a necessary ingredient of harrassment. If that was your intent, then I would have to disagree.<<

I see your point. I did say "scary." I guess with high schoolers shooting up their schools and killing their classmates, and more news stories of people "going postal" domestically and at work, I did take "harassment" in that context as well.

In my view, I would be surprised to think that SCRUFF's intent in the discussion, or in his initial bullish post, was "to irritate or torment" Bob "persistently" or "to wear [him] out; exhaust [him]".

If that were the case, such intent might be sanctionable by Jill under "Terms of Use".

Geez...Hunter, his name says it all...SCRUFF...personally, I imagine him to be some big tough mountain man type with neurotransmitters hardwired by CAT backhoes and experience and adversity...perhaps a different cut of cloth than you or I, but so what? I'm not ready to flame him for that. But I'm not trying to enable him either. Just suggesting some tolerance of diversity, that's all.

The message that I hear doesn't always come in the form that I'd prefer, yet I hang out here, and other places, because the messages are sometimes provocative and wake me up. And for that I am thankful.

Not that I am keen to take any abuse in the process.

Argumentative talk is just one of those things that happens when I get up in the morning and get to work. Sometimes people speak the way I would like them to, and other times, not. But I don't think they are out "to irritate or torment me persistently." Oh well...

I don't need the last word, but it's been fun, and I'm ready to let it go and get back to fonix and the other stocks that are currently "irritating and tormenting me persistently"!

;-)
