I had a conversation with a young lady recently. She is in technical training to become an LPN. If she does well she will get an RN while on the job. Beyond that she was unwilling to speculate. She grew up in Germany. Her opinion of the American education system is quite low. Germany teaches people useful skills and when they graduate from a program they are ready to work. I have observed that a technical American college degree is only evidence that a person is educable in the field. She said that Germans are ready to produce. In America most companies plan on losing money on most workers for the first six months. And the American education is getting worse.
