I don't have cable or satellite (or Fios) so I can't watch any of these games unless it is on NBC or I attend the game. But I didn't think the Caps would run away with the series. I picked the Caps in 7. But I wouldn't be surprised if it went 6.

The Caps had a lot of problems with the speed of the Isles in the regular season. The Isles picked up 5 of a possible 6 points against the Caps. The Caps are not the greatest checking team, but they did tighten things up defensively over the later part of the season. Rags are too good to get blown out in this series. Caps are a dark horse, along with Ottawa to challenge Pitt. Isles still might make the Pitt seres go 7 games. Originally I picked Pitt in a rout with the Isles possibly winning a game. But if the Isles continue to play the way they have in games 2 and 3 the rest of the way, I think we are looking at a 7 game series.

Losing the first 2 games away from home in the NHL is not a disastrous situation provided you hold serve on home ice. Rags definitely have a shot; I just think the Caps are the better team right now.

What do you make of this?

yardbarker.com

Letting a starting pitcher miss a game (not a start) to attend a Rags game.

Dangerous precedent?
