There is another source of margin pressure. Say SCI makes modems for brand A and JBIL makes for brand B. Brand A cuts their price so JBIL and brand B have to reduce prices. Wouldn't JBIL cut margins to compete? So it's not just JBIL and SCI competing for Brand A business.

I agree generally with your conclusion, until industry wide capacity growth rates start exceeding growth in demand.
