Orbital and Rockwell

To me, Magellan does not really fit very well with Orbital. Orbital aspires to be a big beltway bandit kind of company, the kind of company Rockwell did not want to be. Rockwell is moving out of satellite launches and military work. Orbital is moving into that area. Rockwell sold its car navigation business. Orbital has acquired that business. Orbital is imitating the military/industrial companies of the past. Is something wrong there? Do you think that the big Orbital Sciences with a backlog of over billion dollars will have the top management care about a smaller, less strategic piece. Ashtech is just today's conquest for Orbital. In less than a month, Orbital might acquire another company. I don't think Chuck is going to get all the support from Orbital management when they are busy trying to raise money to acquire other companies.
