OFF TOPIC The cable is spliced into the existing cable line in my basement, goes to a Motorola Cyber Surfer modem that sits on my PC, and from there to an Ethernet card added to my computer. The installer said that (instead of 28.8 KB/sec. modem speed) the transmission rate is about 2 MB/sec (with the potential for 10 MB/sec. if needed down the road). There IS occasionally some minor noticeable delay which appears to be related to the site I am accessing, but nothing like I had on AOL.
