There is one ideology trying to conserve the status quo.
Oh yeah? Some of the congressional representatives defending the "tanks for no one" program are Democrats.

Let's not forget that the John Murtha Airport to Nowhere was named after and funded by a Democrat.

Kind of ironic that those who call themselves "progressives" are some of the MOST regressive when it comes to politics.

Private enterprise would be all about the opportunity to have the USPS if it were not a constitutionally required government service. And private enterprise could do it profitably.

Sure, if they are given a profit opportunity to do so. Before city services squeezed out the independents in my county, I had trash pickup 3x weekly for $15/month. Since city took over, I get 1x weekly for twice that.
