I always found that PhDs don't have much of a work ethic and certainly have a stunted profit motive. They don't understand that, in business, if you can't sell it, it ain't worth doing. And they certainly don't understand that the market dictates the schedule much of the time.

Most people in tech who want to produce and innovate don't have time for the prolonged stint in academia required to get a PhD.

I was curious as to why the kid got a bus pass AND a car.
