Where does the judge stand? news.com

Another backgrounder on the judge they're telling it to this very moment. To reiterate to those who think I'm a cheerleader, I'm not holding my breath on anything meaningful coming out of it. Like Jerry said, sounds like delay may win out. It's late enough already, anyway.

While Jackson is known to be a conservative jurist who tends to favor the government in criminal prosecutions and defendants in civil cases, legal observers are less certain about his views on antitrust law, or for that matter, whether the 60-year-old judge even knows what an operating system is.

Jeez Louise, I hope he doesn't look up OS in the techweb encyclopedia, or accept the various and sundry Microsoft definitions, like "1) a set of api's 2)a bunch of code 3) what we say it is" at face value. He's had a couple months to bone up, but who knows?

Cheers, Dan.
