The essential bulk needs of people today to want to be distracted by popular spectacles , swayed by general gossip has not changed or the dependency on superstitions , look around you.Or the dependency on alcohol, drugs or overeating with obesity rampant. Of course we are speaking cultures of over 2000yrs ago, to expect them to have women's liberation is only just slightly rediculous and a man ruling over his household, well little changed there for the next 2000yrs. Also one moment you're flowing overboard with rampant criticism the "lib women" today , now you complain the Romans were a bit harsh here ( get your act together) All reflects --> Human Nature ...
