Oooops... Soory, folks. That was cowboy talk, a remnant of my youth, that I just pooped out. I can see here it can be misconstrued ~ let me try to dig out ~ on my home world, there is only one kind of boot. The rest are shoes. This is, I admit, a very territorial, primitive, thing, but that's facts. I think we just saw a pretty clear example of social barrier, presented, gratis, with no concern for my personal appearance, or of the target spread. And the inside of that barrier is often not as pleasant as any outside without it. I doubt Alex's butt is tender. He's also armed. I can be sprayed for.
