China outlook...................

September 22, 1997 LENGTH: 98 words COUNTRY: China HEADLINE: Economic outlook BODY: Real GDP growth will slow to 9.4% in 1997 and 8.4% in 1998 as unemployment and slower wage growth curb private consumption. However, because of stronger external demand and revised trade figures for 1996, we now expect the current account to remain in surplus in 1997-98. Easy supply-side conditions resulting from a good agricultural performance and the running down of inventories have slowed inflation, resulting in a downward revision to our annual average inflation forecast for 1997, to 5%. Some modest inflationary pressure will reappear in 1998.

Ed good to hear from you. If you look at Cube's stock price and its waves up and down in relation to when they announce their earnings you can deduce a bottoming of the stock price between December 1 and December 10. By Jan 15 it should be a topping.

Good luck.
